Karen's passion to improve autism services is driven by personal experience as numerous members of her family are autistic. She has lived experience as a parent/carer and additionally has extensive professional experience. This includes volunteering in the community to support autistic individuals, working as a specialist autism mentor and being the strategic manager at the West Cheshire Autism hub. She is an experienced trainer who is passionate about supporting autistic adults, children and their families. She is an ambassador for the Low arousal approach with studio III. She holds a distinction in both her Bphil and Masters in autism with the University of Birmingham.
